Yooka Laylee is updated with a 64 bit mode in PC and Switch
Playtonic updated Yooka-Laylee with the “64-bit ethnic”.
The update was released on April 1 at the April Fools Day, although it was announced in October last year. It came after a week of countdown in Playtonic’s social networks; they started counting from 57 and they progressed to the announcement made today.
This mode makes the game try to simulate how the Nintendo 64 games inspire it look like: CRT filter, 20 FPS, curved screen edges, chiptune soundtrack … Additionally, the patch makes a mistake in the Nintendo 64 version . switch.
The update will also reach the PS4 and Xbox One versions in the future; The study is improving errors in these two versions.
